Race report by Kevin Thomas
I started off the Super Seven Series at Thunder Alley (North Carolina) strong taking 1st place in the E-Buggy division with my XRAY XB8E. After two rounds of qualifying, I found myself second on the pole after narrowly edging out third place by a tenth of a second. In the main, I was able to get away cleanly and found myself in the lead for several laps. A miscue briefly dropped me to third but I was able to jump back up to second and eventually regain the lead where I would ultimately finish.

It looked like this weekend’s race would be rained out due to the inclement weather that hit Friday. However, the track crew did an amazing job getting the track race ready. They pushed the start time back to 4pm to give the track a little bit of extra time to dry out and the crew a few more hours to work. I know I was extremely grateful to get to race this weekend and log a little extra wheel time since next weekend I will be heading to Tennessee for the Psycho Nitro Blast.

E-Buggy Podium Results:
1. Kevin Thomas - XRAY XB8E
2. Sean Kochik
3. Scott Belus
